For Over 30 years, Powell & Associates, Inc. has been on the forefront of innovation and service for the CSRA in real estate. In 1992 the company began with its founder Marcene Powell in Lincolnton, GA. Not only was she the first Real Estate Firm in her small town, but she was the first woman-owned business, thereby breaking all preconceived notions of what women could do. She made a profound impact on one woman specifically: her daughter Nancy.
Nancy entered real estate in the family brokerage in 1999. In 2010, Nancy returned to college earning degrees in History and Political Science from Augusta University. While continuing in real estate, she also worked in politics for several years by running the campaigns of US Congressmen and US Senators. In 2015 she returned to real estate full-time, and decided to expand into the Augusta/Aiken Market. Since then, Nancy has continued innovating and building a legacy of helping people fulfill their dreams through homeownership and committed community involvement.
In early 2020, Nancy became the owner/broker of her mother’s company, Powell & Associates, Inc. and relocated the main office from Lincolnton to Downtown Augusta. Nancy is a member of both the Ambassador Board and Women In Business Board with the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, is the President of the Augusta University Alumni Society-Summerville, a member of Augusta’s Women in Philanthropy and a Core Vite member with the American Heart Association. She is a strong supporter of Young Professionals of Augusta and participates in their Mentorship program.
Nancy, and her husband Chris live in the historic area of Summerville in Augusta with their furbaby Logan and she has three wonderful children, Olivia, Alexis and Hayden.
